Springer Precision designed this part to position the slide release lever so it doesn’t interfere with your shooting grip and engage the slide when the magazine is empty.  The slide stop provides a visual to the user indicating when a handgun has expended all loaded ammunition.  It facilitates faster reloading by pulling back the slide or depressing the slide lock to advance the first round of a new magazine.  It is made from high quality stainless-steel and is designed to withstand rigorous heavy use.
